Role of Kiva Fellows

Kiva Fellows are the eyes and ears for Kiva on the ground, and are instrumental to Kiva’s operations.   Working across the U.S. and in over 70 countries around the globe, fellows help to further Kiva’s mission by strengthening partnerships and scaling new initiatives, while connecting Kiva’s staff and the lender community to the field.

Every Kiva Fellow receives a customized workplan at the start of their placement, which outlines specific deliverables to be completed throughout the fellowship.  Each workplan is developed by Kiva staff along with input from other key stakeholders.  Kiva aims to leverage the unique skill set of the fellow to accomplish key tasks that are crucial to the success of the partnership.

No two fellowships are the same, and the scope of work may vary significantly from placement to placement due to a number of factors.
